Nonmetallic Liquatite® Flexible Electrical Conduit
Electri-Flex
Company introduces its non-metallic Type NM Liquatite® flexible electrical
conduit primarily for wiring protection in outdoor applications, including HVAC
units, pools and spas. Type NM features a “Type B Construction” which contains a
spiral of rigid PVC reinforcement imbedded within a flexible PVC wall. Type NM
protects against abrasion, sunlight, mild acids, alkalines and oils. UL and CSA
approved, Type NM is allowed for the containment of circuits and is suitable for
use in some hazardous (classified) locations.
Type NM is self-extinguishing, with high mechanical strength and is listed for direct
burial. Available in sizes 3/8" through 2" and with working temperatures from
–20˚ C to 80˚ C, Type NM is suitable for use with nonmetallic fittings (NMLT),
which are made from UV-rated PVC for long outdoor life. Angled connectors, with
standard NPT threads, provide a smooth,
gradual radius, without sharp edges.
