Electri-Flex Meets EMI/RFI Shielding Conduit Requirements for
Communications, Radar and Data Transmission Applications
Electri-Flex Company’s EMI/RFI flexible electrical Liquatite® conduit line is
now presented in a new
data sheet. The literature details the features and benefits of Electri-Flex's
EMI/RFI shielded conduit versions, which eliminate the need for expensive
specialty assemblies in wiring applications for communications, radar and data
transmission equipment. A
shielding effectiveness
chart listing attenuation and test frequency is designed to help customers
determine which conduit best fits their wiring needs.

EMI/RFI requirements, this data sheet provides cost-effective wiring solutions.
Electri-Flex’s EMI/RFI
Liquatite line of shielded conduit offers high quality construction of bronze
flexible cores or copper braids, which provide exceptional shielding, and
modifiable PVC jackets to accommodate a variety of environmental conditions.
Type LAS Conduit is a UL listed version with a temperature rating of
-20°C
to 60°C.
It features a galvanized steel core and is coated with a tinned copper shielding
braid. A flame retardant PVC jacket is then applied over the core and braid.
LAS offers shielding effectiveness of 126 dB @ 1 MHz to 66 dB @ 1 GHz. Type
EMS Conduit, with a temperature rating of -55°C
to 105°C,
features a helically wound interlocked bronze strip for enhanced shielding
performance. An all-temperature PVC jacket is applied over the core, ensuring a
weatherproof raceway. EMS offers shielding effectiveness of 126 dB @ 1 MHz to
nearly 100dB @ 1 GHz.
Type EMSP Conduit
is a hybrid combining the bronze core of Type EMS with the tinned copper braid
of Type LAS to provide the highest degree of shielding effectiveness, from 126dB
@ 1 MHz to 120 dB @ 1 GHz. Its PVC jacket offers a temperature rating of -55C°
to 105°C.
